Maesobotrya is a genus of flowering plant belonging to the family Phyllanthaceae first described as a genus in 1879.[2][3][4] It is native to sub-Saharan Africa.[1][5] It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.[6]

Maesobotrya es un género de plantas con flores perteneciente a la familia Phyllanthaceae, aunque a menudo incluido en los Euphorbiaceae.[1] Consiste en 18 especies aceptadas de las 40 descritas.[2] Es un género de distribución limitada a África ecuatorial, desde el sur de Sudán hasta Uganda y Gabón, y quizá Madagascar[3]
