Thermocyclops è un genere di crostacei, appartenente alla famiglia delle Cyclopidae. Venne descritta per la prima volta e in seguito ricercata estensivamente da Friedrich Kiefer, che ne scoprì diverse specie.[1] Le specie e le sottospecie di questo genere vivono in acque fresche e salmastre (raramente in acque sotterranee) in tutto il mondo, sebbene la maggior parte di esse siano diffuse nelle zone tropicali.[1]
