Distribuzione

Le quattro specie oggi note tre sono state reperite nell'Africa centrale; la specie dall'areale più vasto è la Lathrothele grabensis, rinvenuta in Congo, Ruanda, Burundi e Camerun[1].

Tassonomia

La grafia Latrothele[1], presente nello studio di Brignoli (1983c), è da ritenersi un refuso[2].

Dal 2013 non sono stati esaminati esemplari delle specie di questo genere[1].

Attualmente, a dicembre 2020, si compone di 5 specie[1]:
