Distribuzione e habitat

Il genere è presente nel mar Mediterraneo (A. subpinnata), nell'oceano Atlantico nord-orientale (A. wollastoni) e nel Pacifico meridionale (A. aperta, A.strigosa, A. fiordensis).[2]
