Description
Erect shrub or small tree that grows 2–6 m in height. Its leaves are 5–16 cm long with 5-18 narrowly ovate, oblong, or sublinear lobes. Flower color: perianth white; style cream-white or occasionally greenish yellow; tip green.[2]
Field identification
Grevillea sessillis can be distinguished from related plant species such as G. whiteana and G. hodgei by its comparatively longer floral bracts, which are 3.5-6.5 mm in length.[2]
Occurrence
Low mountain ranges of inland eastern Qld, from Cairns area S to Springsure and Theodore. Grows in open woodland or shrubland in shallow sandy soils over siliceous sandstone. Flowers Apr.–Dec.[2]
