La Saturnie du chêne du Japon (Antheraea yamamai) est un lépidoptère (papillon) appartenant à la famille des Saturniidae, à la sous-famille des Saturniinae. C'est un papillon de nuit.
- Répartition : Ceylan, Inde, Japon, Yougoslavie, Autriche, Hongrie, Italie.
L’espèce a été introduite en France en 1855, sous le nom de Yama-maï[1], par Félix Édouard Guérin-Méneville (1799-1874), comme le ver à soie Tussah (Antheraea pernyi) et le bombyx de l'ailante (Samia cynthia), afin de trouver une espèce capable de remplacer le ver à soie atteint alors de pébrine.

Antheraea yamamai, the Japanese silk moth or Japanese oak silkmoth (Japanese: yamamayu(ga) (山繭(蛾)・ヤママユ(ガ)) or tensan (天蚕)) is a moth of the family Saturniidae. It is endemic to east Asia, but has been imported to Europe for tussar silk production and is now found in southeastern Europe, mainly in Austria, northeastern Italy, and the Balkans. It seems to be spreading north and a population has been reported near Deggendorf and Passau in Germany.[2] The species was first described by Félix Édouard Guérin-Méneville in 1861.
