Les Romeriida forment un clade de sauropsides eureptiliens qui contient les diapsides, les protorothyrididés et quelque genre basals apparentés aujourd'hui éteints. Il est défini phylogénétiquement par Laurin & Reisz en 1995 comme « le dernier ancêtre commun de Paleothyris et des diapsides, et de tous ses descendants »[1]. Il porte le nom d'Alfred Romer, un éminent paléontologue du XXe siècle[2].

Los roméridos (Romeriida) son un clado de saurópsidos (reptiles) que incluye los diápsidos y los extintos protorotirídidos ya sea sólo el género Paleothyris, o bien toda la familia Protorothyrididae. Fue definido filogenéticamente por Laurin & Reisz (1995) como el último ancestro común de Paleothyris y los diápsidos, y a todos sus descendientes.[1] Fue nombrado en homenaje a Alfred Romer, un prominente paleontólogo de vertebrados del siglo XX.[2]- [fr] Romeriida
