Distribution
Cette espèce est endémique de Basse-Californie du Sud au Mexique[1]. Elle se rencontre sur l'île Jacques Cousteau.
Description
Le mâle holotype mesure 42,0 mm et la femelle paratype 53,0 mm[2].
Systématique et taxinomie
Cette espèce a été décrite sous le protonyme Vaejovis punctipalpi cerralvensis par Williams en 1971. Elle suit son espèce dans le genre Kochius[3]. Elle est élevée au rang d'espèce par González Santillán et Prendini en 2013[4].
Étymologie
Son nom d'espèce, composé de cerralv[o] et du suffixe latin -ensis, « qui vit dans, qui habite », lui a été donné en référence au lieu de sa découverte, l'île Cerralvo aujourd'hui île Jacques Cousteau.
