Morfología
Los machos pueden llegar alcanzar los 70 cm de longitud total.[3][4]
Hábitat
Es un pez marino de aguas profundas que vive entre 170-1.700 m de profundidad.
Distribución
Se encuentra en el océano Atlántico oriental, desde Mauritania hasta Sudáfrica.
Comportamiento
Reproducción
Es ovíparo y las hembras ponen huevos envueltos en una cápsula córnea.[5][6]
Alimentación
Se alimenta de pequeños crustáceos, calamars y poliquetos.

Rajella barnardi (лат.) — вид хрящевых рыб семейства ромбовых скатов отряда скатообразных. Обитают в юго-восточной и центральной Атлантике. Встречаются на глубине до 1700 м. Их крупные, уплощённые грудные плавники образуют округлый диск. Максимальная зарегистрированная длина 70 см. Откладывают яйца.
