Amblyseius es un amplio género de ácaros que pertenecen a la familia Phytoseiidae.[1] Varios miembros de este género son fitoseidos (o depredadores de ácaros[2]), como del Tetranychus urticae o araña roja, y también de trips. Varias especies son muy utilizadas en control biológico en cultivos agrícolas.

Amblyseius (лат.) — род паразитиформных клещей семейства Phytoseiidae из отряда Mesostigmata. Около 300 видов[2][3]. Свободноживущие хищные клещи длиной менее 1 мм. Многие члены этого рода питаются другими клещами (паутинными) и трипсами. Несколько видов используются в биологическом контроле этих вредителей. Дорсальные щетинки заострённые (заднебоковых щетинок PL 3 пары, а переднебоковых AL — 2 пары). Дорсальный щит склеротизирован[4]. Род Amblyseius был впервые выделен в 1914 году итальянским акарологом и энтомологом Антонио Берлезе (итал. Antonio Berlese, 1863—1927)[1][5].
