The white-capped parrot (Pionus seniloides) is a bird in the family Psittacidae formerly considered conspecific with the plum-crowned parrot (Pionus tumultuosus). Before the split the common name of the combined taxa was "speckle-faced parrot".

The species is found in the Andes mountains from northwestern Venezuela, through Colombia and Ecuador, to northern Peru.[2]
