Virididentex acromegalus (common name: bulldog dentex) is a species of carnivorous marine fish of the family Sparidae. It is the only species of the genus Virididentex.[2] It is endemic to Cape Verde, where it occurs between 40 and 150 metres depth.[1]

This fish lives in rocky bottoms, and grows to an average length of 30 cm, maximum 52 cm.[3]

Virididentex acromegalus  (лат.) — вид лучепёрых рыб семейства спаровых (Sparidae). Распространены в восточной части Атлантики, эндемик прибрежных вод Кабо-Верде. Достигают в длину 52 см[1]. Virididentex acromegalus является придонным видом. Обитают среди коралловых рифов на каменистом дне на глубине 40—60 м.
