Morfología


Los machos pueden llegar alcanzar los 51 cm de longitud total.[1][2]


Alimentación


Come pequeños bivalvos y gambas.[3]



Depredadores


Es depredado por Gadus macrocephalus .[4] halibut del Pacífico (Hippoglossus stenolepis), halibut negro (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides)[5] y la foca común (Phoca vitulina).[6][7]


Hábitat


Es un pez de mar y de aguas profundas que vive entre 25- 925 m de profundidad.[1][8]


Distribución geográfica


Se encuentra en el Pacífico norte: los Estados Unidos (incluyendo Alaska), el Canadá y Rusia.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][2][16][17][18]


Observaciones


Es inofensivo para los humanos.
